Lifestyle and fashion blogger, Leslie Musser of One Brass Fox, is a favorite of ours because of her fashion sense as well as her "buy with purpose and peace of mind" attitude. In fact, she says that she's always been drawn to brands that take pride in their product from start to finish and even beyond—from the sourcing of materials, the treatment of employees and the quality of the goods to how the company uses its success to help others. Musser has done an amazing job building her group of followers and creating a highly successful blog, and she's also done an outstanding job decorating her Boston-area home that she shares with her husband and baby son. The natural light all around, the neutral color palette and the mid-century elements throughout give this space a super cozy and clean feeling, and we can't wait to share this home tour with you today. Without further ado, here's Leslie's gorgeous and fun space.

First off, congrats on your new arrival! How has motherhood been so far?

Thank you! Oh my goodness, this has been simultaneously the most joyous and exhausting period of life ever. That’s a total 'new parent' cliché, but it’s entirely true. Our sweet little man changes or grows every day and to see that progress is amazing. It’s also given me tremendous respect for all the other mothers in my life. This is one crazy gig!

How would you describe the overall vibe of your home?

If I could coin a new term, I’d call our home ‘mid-century comfort.’ Playing up our abundance of natural light, I opted for neutral palettes with soft wood tones and varying textures. It struck a balance between cozy and clean that makes the home perfect for entertaining.

It’s so meaningful to connect with the creator through that marketplace and know I’m directly supporting his or her talents."

You’re a lifestyle and fashion blogger, but with a unique point of view. Can you tell us a little bit more about your focus on a “conscious lifestyle”?

I’ve always been drawn to brands that take pride in their product from start to finish and even beyond. That means the sourcing of materials, the treatment of employees, the quality of goods and then how they use their success to go one step further. TOMS shoes were real pioneers in this realm and that’s led to more transparency across various industries (fashion, home, beauty, etc). I like to say that it’s buying with purpose and peace of mind.

How has that pursuit played into designing your home?

What is your favorite part of your home?

Not to be predictable or anything, but I’d have to say our son’s nursery. Never before have I had the chance to completely envision a blank slate and bring it to life. We weren’t just using old furniture and finding a different spot for it; the whole concept was new, inspired and had a pretty sweet ‘finish line.’

Tell us about the design process for your nursery. What was your inspiration and how did you make it come to life?

Talk about ‘Pin-spiration.’ Basically from the nanosecond I found out I was pregnant, my mind starting dreaming up baby’s space. Even though I knew I wanted a rather neutral nursery, I waited until we found out the gender (boy) to hit purchase (or register) on most things. My vision was for a minimalist yet comfortable space that could easily grow with our son. So I looked for functional pieces with simple, clean lines and accented by pops of color. Our macrame hanging was really the standout item that completed my aesthetic.

What has been the biggest change for you so far since becoming a mother?

Lack of control. I’ll be the first to admit I’m rather Type A when it comes to punctuality as well as productivity, but I’ve quickly realized that babies change your entire pace of life. This has been simultaneously the fastest and slowest time in all my 27 years. I’m forced to be far more flexible with plans or even my to-do list.

What's your favorite way to relax and unwind after a busy day?

My husband has very long days at work, so the simplest thing like sitting on our front porch, sipping wine and munching on take-out sushi makes for a perfect, relaxing evening. Oh, and sleep, because #newparentproblems.
