AD España continues to knock it out of the park with this 100-year-old home in the French city of Perpignan, which somehow combines all the perfection of the most perfect Paris apartment and all the easy grandeur of a country house into a single space.
The young couple that bought this home transformed it from a house with three different apartments into a single-family home. For the most part, the goal of the renovation was simply to restore the home to its former glory, although they did remodel the kitchen, and add some bathrooms on the second floor.
Everywhere, the house is open to the gardens beyond, including in this gorgeous bedroom with a gorgeous view.
The couple, who are both great art lovers, instructed their Argentine decorator, Diego Mendez Casariego, to give the house a light, playful vibe while respecting its origins. The result is an eclectic, colorful mix of antiques and art that perfectly complements the house's lovely original features — a felicitous marriage of old and new.
